Manilva Town Hall is taking an important step in the town’s urban development with progress on the project to culvert the Arroyo El Estanquillo in El Castillo de la Duquesa. This project, which aims to improve connectivity between the El Castillo area and the Los Granados area while respecting the course of the stream, was one of the central topics at a meeting held in Málaga between municipal representatives and the Regional Delegation for Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development.
The mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, together with the Infrastructure and Public Works councillor, Marcos Ruiz, and municipal technicians, met with the territorial delegate, Fernando Fernández Fernández, to discuss matters of the utmost importance for the municipality. Among them, the culverting project stood out, as it will allow the El Castillo area to be extended and opened up, improving its connection with Los Granados and facilitating the urban development of the area.
This project takes on particular importance as it is linked to the construction of 67 officially protected homes (VPO) on a nearby plot owned by the council. The project, which is already well advanced, represents a key boost in meeting the demand for affordable housing in the town.
The project has the approval of the regional administration, which will allow its development to continue so that it becomes a reality as soon as possible.
El Castillo de la Duquesa is thus preparing for a promising future, with new homes and improved connectivity that will benefit all residents of the area.
