The Agriculture councillor at Manilva Town Hall, Francisco Becerra, has reported that work is currently under way on the camino del Chorro. This continues the improvement work on this type of road closest to the town centre, so that they are in the best possible condition for residents and farmers ahead of the grape harvest.
This morning we were able to see that the whole of this heavily used track is being cleaned and cleared of undergrowth, as many residents live in this area.
Work has so far been carried out at El Panderon, Padre Mariano, Tranche, camino de Estepona, Bodeguilla and the link between El Chorro and La Peñuela.
Becerra said that this type of work is also carried out for safety reasons, to prevent incidents and possible fires.
The department will continue working on tracks such as those at La Eduarda, Jacinto Porro and Río Manilva.
