Asphalting of car parks next to the Castillo archaeological site

-

The Infrastructure and Works delegate at Manilva Town Hall, Diego José Jiménez, councillor Manolo Gil, the area director, Mari Ángeles Ramos, and the municipal technician have visited the area next to the Archaeological Site of El castillo de la Duquesa, where the car park area is being asphalted, after the whole plot was raised to prevent water from getting in when it rains.

The area, which has now been asphalted, will serve the dual purpose of protecting the archaeological zone and providing parking for the various activities held in this community.

The councillor also said that work is currently being carried out on land where it is known there are no archaeological remains, although the possibility of expanding the parking area will continue to be studied, always respecting the site.

It should be remembered that the whole archaeological zone has undergone a major transformation and is now practically ready and enhanced, so that it can soon be visited by everyone.
