The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, travelled to the Regional Delegation for Economy, Finance, European Funds, Industrial Policy and Energy to meet its head, Carlos García, and assess Manilva’s joining the Andalusian Network of Industrial Cities.
The mayor, accompanied by the Coordinator for Development and Local Development Promotion, José Carlos Castaño, also took the opportunity to present to the delegate the project for the new access to the «La Dehesilla» industrial estate, with the aim of seeking funding from European funds.
Regarding the first matter, which forms part of the «CRECE Industria 2021-2022 Action Plan«, its main objective is to boost Manilva at an industrial level.
This meeting set out the benefits and requirements that this initiative entails for the municipalities taking part, in a joint public action to promote industry.
The Junta offers participating municipalities prominent inclusion in the map of productive areas published by the IECA, the publication and use of the municipalities’ sales brochures, external promotion of the municipality as a welcoming city for industrial development, and the promotion of industrial innovation and knowledge transfer.
In addition, training activities are proposed for workers, students and unemployed people in the participating municipalities, in order to provide the professional specialisation required for industrial development, as well as the creation of a network of municipal technicians specialised in the development of local production systems: shared synergies, resources, knowledge and tools, good practices and the application of public-private collaboration models.
