-

Manilva Town Hall has officially welcomed its new municipal secretary, Ana Núñez de Cossío, who has taken up her post at an institutional ceremony attended by the mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the acting secretary, Ildefonso Narváez, who were responsible for welcoming the civil servant.

With this appointment, the Town Hall strengthens one of the key areas of the municipal administrative structure. The Secretary’s Office is a fundamental pillar in the running of any public administration, as it guarantees the legality of administrative acts, provides legal advice to the governing bodies and certifies the agreements adopted at council meetings and governing board meetings.

The mayor, Mario Jiménez, highlighted the importance of filling this post with qualified staff, noting that “it is essential to strengthen this crucial department within the municipal machinery, with the aim of working with the best tools in defence of the interests of our residents”.

The municipal secretary’s main duties include supervising administrative procedures, safeguarding official documentation, internal legal coordination and monitoring the correct application of current regulations, all essential aspects for ensuring transparency, legal certainty and the proper functioning of the Town Hall.

The arrival of Núñez de Cossío therefore represents an important step in the institutional strengthening of Manilva Town Hall, working towards more efficient management that is rights-based and geared towards public service.
