Premio Manilva Distinguida
The «Distinguida» category is especially distinctive because it highlights the values shown in undertaking any activity or discipline related to talent and study that gains recognition within or beyond our borders.
In recognition of his professional achievements in the world of sport in general and basketball in particular, and their impact at national level, the award goes to Mr Francisco Javier Montañez Sarria, who is considered deserving of the Premio Manilva Distinguida.
Premio Manilva Emprende
The «Emprende» category aims to encourage the entrepreneurial initiatives that are so necessary for the future development of our municipality. It recognises the skills, values, aptitudes and attitudes that a person or community must have to make their idea a success. Entrepreneurship is assessed on leadership, perseverance, responsibility, tolerance, commitment, strategy, creativity, innovation and, most especially, socio-economic impact on the municipality of Manilva.
In recognition of its entrepreneurial work, having become a benchmark both in our town and beyond our borders, and also as a company that drives progress and boosts the economy, the Premio Manilva Emprende is awarded to Panadería Hermanos de la Chica.
Premio Manilva Solidaria
The «Solidaria» category is an award that takes into account a commitment to the values of creating and promoting a fairer society, especially with regard to the most disadvantaged sectors of society. It rewards initiatives, projects or people that promote gender equality, social inclusion, the integration of immigrants, and involvement with people with disabilities, as well as any other aspect that highlights and dignifies solidarity values.
In recognition of his extraordinary altruistic and charitable gesture of donating an organ, the Partido Popular has nominated Mr Antonio Miguel Barragán Sánchez for the Premio Manilva Solidaria.
Mención Especial
The jury of the Manilva Awards unanimously decided to give a special posthumous mention to local resident Francisco Parra Zotano, for his business and social work in the municipality.
The gala will be held on 12 October at 12:00 at the Civima.
