The Manilva Government Team continues to work intensively to offer residents and visitors the best possible services, especially during the high season. Aware that the population triples in summer, alternatives are being sought to solve the parking problem.
While projects to build permanent car parks continue to be developed, other areas are being made available to provide an immediate response to this problem, which affects the population especially in the summer season. In this case, an area of open ground of 1,000 square metres located between Pueblo Mexicano and the Guardia Civil barracks has been cleared and is now being prepared. On this site, provided by a private individual, some 300 parking spaces are being created.
The mayor of Manilva, José Manuel Fernández, and the councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Agustín Vargas, visited the plot to check the preparation work and assess the possibilities of the land.
This car park will be temporary and free of charge, except during one-off events with maximum tourist attendance, when access control and security staff will be put in place to maintain safety and order.
